PREPARING FOOD FOR THE HOMELESS

Every month, Ayudh Houston members gather to prepare food for the homeless.

CARDS FOR SOCIETY

During the holiday season, cards are made for people at nursing homes and given out.

FOOD DELIVERY

After the preparation of the food, members directly deliver the food to the homeless along with other families through Food Not Bombs, a non-profit organization that caters to the dietary needs of the homeless.

CARE PACKS

Care packs contain essential material that are assembled by members and distributed at various locations throughout the city.

ASSISTANCE AT NURSING HOMES

Volunteers assisted the employees at nursing homes to decorate, run and clean up after hosting events for the elderly.

ADOPT-A-FAMILY

Volunteers aided families who lost their homes during the hurricane.

MIGHTY MASKS - COVID-19

Houston Youth joined the national effort to help purchase and cut out filters for masks that were donated to healthcare workers in need.

BEACH CLEAN UP - Galveston Fall 2019

Members drove to Galveston and cleaned up 40 pounds of trash.

HURRICANE HARVEY SUPPLY PACKS

Volunteers contributed through material and monetary donation that were delivered to various shelters after the impact of Hurricane Harvey.

Dancers came together to put on a show in order to raise money towards the Australian Wildfire Relief Effort.

DIY LUNCH PACKS - Summer Long Project 2020

Families assemble lunch packs for kids under 5 from less fortunate families and donate them to Kids Meals.

PLASTIC BAG COLLECTION - Recycling

Members collected hundreds of plastic shopping bags in attempt to increase awareness of reducing plastic waste and recycling paste.

BAKE SALE - California Wildfire Relief Effort

Families baked and sold food items in order to raise money for the California Wildfire Relief Effort.

STAR OF HOPE - Donations to Those in Need

Volunteers collected necessary items for the less fortunate and donated them to the Star of Hope Foundation.

PLANT DISTRIBUTION

As part of a New Year tradition, we distributed out plants to the families in AYUDH Houston as a way of remembering the importance of mother nature. Raising awareness about the need to give back to our planet is just as important as helping people in our society.

RECYCLING LOGS

In order to bringing about a habit of recycling, AYUDH members collected and recycled appropriate items while keeping a tally of how many pounds were recycled over a 3-month span as a group.

TOY DRIVE

Members participated in a Toy Drive for kids who may not otherwise receive presents during the Winter Holidays.

COVID-19 HELPINE

Volunteers across the nation came together to provide assistance to those unable to received needed resources.
